We have had a great past couple of weeks with our church family and the surrounding community. On a breezy, chilly Saturday afternoon 100 plus people dropped what they were doing to attend the first annual Radford Apple fest. It was a great event with tables full of apple goodies and fresh pressed apple cider to wash it all down.
For Thanksgiving Sunday our theme focused us on being thankful for the work God is doing around the world. We had the Kirby family visit with us as they shared about their mission in South Africa and how God has used them in caring for many children in their area. For lunch after the service we continued the theme and had a Syrian meal cooked by a local Syrian family, it was great connecting with them and giving thanks with a different meal than typically expected.
As you read this update, please be encouraged to pray anytime or with us Mondays at 9:00. We are looking forward to using the season of Christmas to engage with the community in special ways. We are planning to carol in three Goffstown neighborhoods and share information about the church. Pray that hearts will be open and we would make some good contacts.
Pray as we plan neighborhood cookie parties, these are cookie swaps designed to bring people together and enjoy relationships.
Pray that the people who make up Restore Church would be gracious towards one another and do what is best for each other. We know our relationships are an important part of making the gospel visible in this community.
