Before reading this posts, I recommend reading Acts 13:1-3. If you only have time to read one thing and you don’t get to read this post, you got to read the Bible, so it’s a win!

The church at Antioch was setup for success, they had a couple of the most well known prophets and teachers in the New Testament, Barnabas and Saul. The story in Acts explains that they were spending time together “serving the Lord and fasting,” when the Holy Spirit said it was time for them to start planting churches. What they do in response to the Spirits leading is what we want to do, pray! They could have packed up their stuff and took off with all their apostolic authority and teaching skills but they continued to fast and pray.

The birth of this church wants to follow the same pattern. Through months of seeking the Spirit’s direction (while filling a 100 page journal) it has become clear that our small circle of friends praying  needed to increase in size. Our hope is that you would sign up for our prayer updates and play a vital role in seeing this new church help the lost find and follow Jesus. Prayer is not one of the means of helping but foundational to all of what God can and will do.

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
