My friend Mike Smith stopped in at our new house in Goffstown last Sunday and cheered us on as we worked. At one point he walked through a room saying repeatedly, "This is a great room!" as he stood in the Great Room. Before he left we made plans to go down to the local pizza shop with him and his wife Sally and talk about all things Goffstown.

Well, Thursday morning he had an appointment with Jesus face to face. Mike Smith - friend, cheerleader, first donor to Restore church, and most importantly a follower of Jesus - celebrated Easter like never before, with Jesus.

Pray this Wednesday at 11:00am that many people would put their faith in the resurrected Christ as they hear about how Mike is in heaven checking out another home, which I'm sure he is making some even better jokes about!

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
— 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
This perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

’Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?’

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
— 1 Corinthians 15:53-56
